Pearson 26 for Sale. Asking $4500
This is your chance to be a part of sailing history. Since the vast community of P-26 owners have been maintaining their boats for over 40 years, there is an immense amount of data available. That means you can have this vintage sloop in good condition, and keep her that way too.
Famed designer William Shaw produced this brilliant 26 foot cruiser during the heyday of sailing. Starting in 1970 the Pearson 26 was designed to be the perfect starter ‘Big Boat’. With her deep fin keel and spade rudder, she’s fast and sturdy in winds over 15 knots. Owners claim she can do more than 6 knots on a steady beam reach.
Your P 26 is more than just a boat you can sail on, it's a lifestyle. So, when you set foot aboard you enter a world especially crafted for the single-handed cruiser. She has roller-furling, a tremendous tiller-pilot system, and cockpit cushions. That means you will always feel safe and comfortable under sail.
You power through the waves with her Evinrude 8 H.P. Outboard Engine, managed from within the cockpit, since all the controls are lead to a panel located near the helmsman. The result is never having to risk falling over the transom, to operate the engine.
If you have been looking for a boat that can keep up with the ‘big boys’, and still fit in the range of compact cruiser, then you can count on the P 26 to meet your sailing needs.
