If you have ever dreamed of cruising the Long Island Sound, in a boat well equipped and constructed for long-term sea travel, then this Ericson 28 Plus is perfect for you. This ingenious design by Bruce King, provides you the room and luxury of a 36 footer, within a 28 foot package. That means that all the advantages of a pressurized, hot/cold water system, including a fully enclosed shower/ head, complete galley with oven, are at your disposal.

With the power provided from your 55 amp alternator, energy use need not be frugal. Your 2 cylinder Universal Diesel Engine provides a reliable and heavy-duty fresh water cooled power-plant with the means to push through the heavy seas, while still economical and efficient enough to run several days without needing to re-fuel.

The Ericsson 28+ was built above and beyond the construction standards met by other production boats. So that you could rest assure that your boat will stand the test of time, her hull is constructed of single piece monocoque fiberglass matte cloth and roving, reinforced in areas of high stress. The uni-directional matte is hand lay-en, transverse and longitudinal with Tri Force Grid reinforcement.

For the sake of longevity, your decks are foam-cored Divinycell between hand lay-en fiberglass matte, cloth and roving. That means in the event that water penetrates the hull, no damage is done to the deck, because the closed-cell foam core repels and contains the spread.

You can single-hand as you cruise, because she has a steering wheel and two self-tailing winches beside the helm, and two more above the Cabin. For protection from the weather, you can huddle under her custom built dodger, while still handling the helm and tending the sails from the cockpit.

This is the boat for the person who requires the comforts of home, at sea. Because she is perfectly setup as a home away from home, this one-of-a-kind cruiser is great for family, friend’s and you.
