Cheoy Lee Clipper 36

Cheoy Lee Clipper 36

(Sold)

Now is the time to make your dream of cruising foreign shores, or island hopping the Carribean a reality. Because this Cheoy Lee Clipper 36 is the culmination of years of design by famed Naval Architect Alfred E. “Bill” Luders. That means you can have this passage-maker, descended from a line of winner’s including the successful Weatherly 1964’s America’s Cup Defender, and ocean racer American Eagle.

This Cheoy Lee Clipper 36 is a Cutter Ketch rig, a rare choice by the builder as an alternative to the single mast. Her masts are built of Aluminium, because they are more modern than the original wooden ones, and will last longer. That means that you can rest-assured that your spars will stand the test of the ocean’s winds.

Her decks are built of Teak layen longitudinal and transverse, because the longevity along with the shear beauty of the wood, have made Teak the choice decking for many shipyards long before synthetic materials were used to offset Today’s cost for the rare expensive wood. That means that with timely maintenance, and a little love and care you can have her decks gleaming in the sun, with a bright finish used by the most expensive yachts of the day.

Inside she is just as beautiful. With her full Teak interior, the feeling of luxury and past voyages are forever ingrained, and will bring comfort when lonely crossing’s take there toll. The head, plumbed for shower will be a relief from the daily onslaught of the sun, and can easily fit a tall person with room. The galley includes a propane oven, gimbled for ease of use at sea. That means that you can easily cook your meals while making passage in heavy weather.

When crossing ocean’s, it is the over-whelming gear, rigging, and sails that help make the passages safe and successful. Because with her Wind-vane wheel steering system, she can sail herself while you are below tending to other matters. That means that when single handing at the sea, the Wind-vane steers the boat to the wind automatically, giving you freedom of movement aboard.

This is the time own a vessel of this prestige. These rare gem’s, have never been more sought after, and will bring you joy and admiration for years to come.
